i couldn't have asked for a better weekend

3 days. 7 states. Roughly 17 hours in a car.
2 plane rides, 5 and a half hours.
Hardly any sleep.

A countless number of hugs. Smiling so hard my face hurt.
Laughing so hard we scared the people around us.

Worth every minute.

Thank you for making my life better.

Places I never thought I'd miss: St. Paul's Church in Levittown.

Speaking of people I miss: these dudes.

If you're not listening to to Robots & Racecars yet, why the hell not? I've only been talking about how great they are for like, the past year.

you came along because i love your face

I love this girl and her silly face. I also miss her bunches. Why must my friends live spread out across the country?

In other news, I survived my first day of classes. This wouldn't be worth noting if not for the fact that I have ten hours of class on Thursday. Up early, home late, oh yeah. Fun times.

Being downtown does have it's perks though, the city is really quite beautiful at night.

where i've been, where i am

Taken this past June at Colonial Park. It's very pretty there, if you ever happen to be in Somerset in the spring/summer, you should check it out.

Classes started today. At 9am. I had to get up a good hour earlier than that to make it here on time. I am not a morning person, my friends. This is going to take some getting used to. On the plus side, I do enjoy having the time on the train to zone out, relax and you know, actually wake up.

Also, on the plus side, I think I am going to enjoy my sculpture class.

A quote from my teacher: "I work with video. I like puppies."

So there's that.

There's a tiny little bug on the screen on my laptop and I don't have the heart to smush him or flick him away. He's not bothering any one, just enjoying the nice day. Like me.

used to waste my time dreaming of being alive

Okay, so I lied. This isn't recent at all. I took this on an unseasonably warm day this past March while I driving the backroads of rural PA.

I still like it, months later. So here you go.

A few belated photos from when I saw Lucas Carpenter and Mark Rose at Milkboy Coffee in Ardmore.

More recent photos and reviews coming soon! I am finally in possession of the shiny new macbook pro I got for school. ♥

he shaved the faces of gentlemen

Passed this on the way home from Wildwood. Not only an A+ name choice, but even more hilariously, the apartment above the shop is for rent.

this and various other assorted ridiculousness

How I spent my Saturday night.

Making skittles vodka is pretty time consuming (and I maybe watched a lot while other people did all the heavy lifting) but the pay off is pretty excellent.

some people call me the space cowboy

This is my dad. Today is his birthday.

He would've been 58.

I don't think I'm ever going to stop missing him.

o'hare

I love that this is one of the first things I see when I get to Chicago. (Not there now, btw, found this in my phone from the last time and getting excited to go back.)

sentimental fool

I keep all of this stuff. They were collecting in a pile on my dresser next to my lamp and the stuffed giant squid I got at the Field Museum. I remember every single show, there's a story to go with every ticket stub.

bottom's up to better days

If you're wondering where all the photos are and more importantly why they are not here, the reason is a such: My desktop computer (and it's bootleg copy of Photoshop CS) does not read my RAW files. I'm out of school at the moment and thus do not have access to the computer I had previously been using to edit my photos with.

But this will be remedied shortly. Until then, have good days and many adventures. I definitely am and will share them with you soon.

you wish you had friends like mine

tim ferrell: guitar god

Ludo at the Rock & Roll Hotel in D.C. (Why yes, I am a crazy person.)

that definitely wasn't here the last time i was in this building.
